I am back as usual after a shortish/longish pause (you pick).
I recently had my Vernissage/Opening of my exhibition. It wasn’t under the Patronage of anyone ( I know too many people and besides I didn’t want the usual social climbing leeches at my shindig, I wanted my friends and people who really wanted to be there), and come they did.
The Exhibition was held in Zara Gallery, Grand Hyatt Amman, it was lovely. Haddad wines sponsored the wines (thank you haddad group appreciate it, the wine was local “Mount Nebo”).
We had a good attendance considering there was another opening of a collective effort Motif 15 which I also promoted, why? Because I am no insecure, and I told those who had been to mine to pop by there if they had time and nothing better to do. 😀
The US Ambassador, Ambassadoer Wells (dammit I forgot to ask if she was of the Wells Fargo Well’s), arrived. She is one of the most actic CD people we have had in Jordanfor quite a while, she seemed to enjoy the exhibition and was astute and observant and saw things most people miss, that made me gain a huge amount of respect for her, she is if anything impressive.
Now here is something about my exhibition I wrote this for a friend who is translating it into Arabic so I don’t think it’ll be untoward if I post it here:
Clothos The Spinner, Lachesis The Weaver, & Atropos The Shearer/Cutter. Also a representation of the supposed 3 ages of Women Maiden Mother Crone
